The main feature about this is the fact that it can take your bike racks, your hitch cargo carriers or your hitch style grills and actually swing them out ninety degrees away from the vehicle to gain either hatch or tailgate access. This works really well with those bike racks that might sit a little too close and even with them tilted away, you can't open the hatch or bike racks where you can't open up the hatch at all.To swing it away, it's a very easy process. You come to the handle here first, lift up, releasing that latch. more

Let's go ahead and take a closer look here, take a look at some of the features. The main feature about this extender is of course that it can swing away from the vehicle to gain better hatch access. This is for situations where you have bike racks that are either too close to the vehicle and even when tilting them away you can't open them, or those bike racks that you just can't tilt away at all, and you would have to remove them to get hatch access. To do that, we'll come to the handle here first, release it, and fold it back, and pull out the pin on the side. Then we can swing it out. more

After that, we'll just push it out. And this is gonna extend it out 90 degrees to the side here, until you hear that click. And now, we have full access to our tailgate to get whatever we need. This is perfect for situations such as tailgating, or just going down to the campsite so you can move your bike racks or your extended grill out of the way and get to what you need. more

Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Roadmaster High-Low Adapter for tow bars, part number: RM-048-2. Now, our high-low adapter's not only for tow bars, and it's not only to be used in the lowered position. We can actually flip it around, put it in the rise position, and we can actually mount any kind of accessory -- such as a bike rack or cargo carrier -- and then now we have more adequate ground clearance. Now as you can see, this is gonna give us adequate clearance for our bike rack, and we're not gonna have to worry about bottoming out. There is one thing I would like to mention, when you are using the high-low adapter in conjunction with a bike rack or a cargo carrier, you need to keep in mind, the tongue weight is gonna be reduced by at least 50%. Our high-low adapter does feature a solid shank, so it's gonna be extra strong and durable. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Max Tow Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter, two inch to inch and a quarter hitch, eleven inches long, part number MT70033. The Max Tow Adapter is going to allow you turn your two inch receiver into an inch and a quarter receiver, allowing you to use your inch and a quarter accessories. Now, we've got a cargo carrier using our adapter here today, but this would work great for your bike racks or any other inch and a quarter accessories. Please note, it's not to be used for towing, so no ball mounts. It's a more economical solution to having two bike racks and two cargo carriers when you have two different vehicles, and it is certainly less expensive than buying another hitch. Now, please keep in mind, when using this hitch adapter, it reduces your ton weight by fifty percent. The distance between the hitch pin holes is seven inches, so you're going to get a bit of an extender here as well. more

As you can see, my hitch adapter is going to turn my 2" receiver into an 1-1/4" receiver, allowing me to use 1-1/4" accessories. We're using a cargo carrier with our adapter here, but this is also going to work great with your bike racks or ball mounts, or any other 1-1/4" accessories. It's a more economical solution to having 2 bike racks and 2 cargo carriers when you have 2 different vehicles and it is certainly less expensive than buying another hitch. It gives us 7" from the center of one hitch pin hole to the other, giving us an extension as well. Keep in mind that with a hitch adapter your towing capacity will be limited to either 50% of the towing capacity of your trailer hitch, your vehicle's towing capacity per your owner's manual, or 3,500 pounds, whichever is lowest. Your tongue weight is limited to the lower of the following: 50% of the tongue weight of your trailer hitch or 300 pounds, whatever's lowest. Keep in mind the pin and clips are not included. You'll need a PC2, which is going to be your 1/2" pin and clip for your adapter side and for your hitch side you'll need a PC3, which is going to be your 5/8" pin and clip. Curt Hitch Adapters - Hitch Extender - C45795 Review- Video
Today, we're going to be taking a look at part number C45795, this is the Curt Hitch Extender for two inch trailer hitches. It's going to extend your trailer hitch receiver opening out from the rear of your vehicle to help avoid obstacles so that way you can get some extra clearance for your trailer if you have some mounted accessories that you need to clear. You could use this to mount your bike rack or your cargo carrier without having to remove your rear mounted spare tire. This unit is going to be constructed of durable steel. It's got the solid shank here on the back side, it's not hollow. It's also going to have a black powder coat finish so it's going to do a really good job at resisting rust and corrosion. more

It's made out of sturdy steel construction with a corrosive resistant black powder coat finish, so it's going to stand up to the elements. more

TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extensions Installation - 2013 GMC Sierra- Video
Today on our 2013 GMC Sierra we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the torque lift line of the super truss hitch extensions for select super hitch trailer hitch receivers. These are available in 8 different sizes, any where from 21 inches up to 60. We're going to show you the 36 inch version. This is part number TLE1536. We're ready to hook up to our trailer, plug it in, connect our safety chains, and still have without weight distribution a 6,500 pound maximum trailer weight rating, a 650 pound ton weight rating, and if we step up into that weight distribution, we're then going to go to a 1,200 pound ton weight rating here at the rear and a 12,000 pound gross trailer weight rating. That's when used with the select super hitch magnum or original series trailer hitch receivers. Now if you're going to be looking at a shorter model, check those weight specifications. If you're looking at one of the longer models, check those weight specifications just to make sure we're staying within line there. The super truss is a perfect solution for extending our pin hole or our mounting location rearward to give us room for those bed-mounted campers and things such as that that tend to interfere. more

Today we're going to review part number TLE1532. This is the torque lift hitch extension for super hitch trailer hitch receivers. This is 32" in length. Now this video will be describing the extension only, but for demonstration purposes I've installed it into a super hitch magnum just to show you how it looks installed and how it operates. Now this extension piece right here will extend your super hitch receiver openings to clear obstacles such as a bednomic 00:00:27 camper so you can tow. It's a very heavy duty design.
